Parents and Community

Even though Young Life is especially for kids, parents and other adults in the community are important to Young Life. Adults can support Young Life in a variety of ways — by becoming a volunteer leader or committee member, by attending a Young Life fund-raising event, by hosting Young Life or by simply telling others in the community about Young Life and its commitment to kids.

Keeping Kids Safe

An important part of our committment to kids is how we keep kids safe. Our staff and volunteer leaders know they are responsible for modeling lives of hope and integrity.Young Life's Human Resources department has developed missionwide policies and procedures to ensure that kids are protected when they are with Young Life staff and/or leaders as well as when kids are part of Young Life'sponsored activities.

There Are Lots of Ways Adults Can Help!

  • Become a Volunteer Leader-

Volunteer Young Life leaders work directly with high school and middle school students, building friendships with them and sharing in their lives. For more information contact Scott Seynemeier

  • Become a Committee Member-

The Adult Committee helps behind the scenes to ensure a high quality of ministry. The Committee's roles include publicity, prayer, fundraising, event planning, and much more.     For more information, contact Scott Seynemeier

  • Pray for Young Life-

We believe that the work of Young Life begins and ends with prayer. We need dedicated people praying for us every day. For more information, contact Scott Seynemeier

  • Support Young Life Financially-

Young Life is dedicated to helping kids, but it costs money to accomplish all of our goals. Your financial gifts help us meet our budget, which includes items such as camp sholarships, club and activity expenses, office supplies, leader training, and more. You can learn more about our budget and our needs by contacting our office. For more information, contact Robin Fiedler

  •  Help get WyldLife Started-

WyldLife is basically Young Life for middle school students. We are hoping to start WyldLife in a few more schools, but we will need your help. For more information, contact Brian DeSutter

  • Friends of Young Life-

These volunteers help out with special projects like registration at our annual Golf Classic or preparing meals for leaders. If you want to help, but can only give small chunks of time at once, this is a good place for you. For more information, contact Scott Seynemeier

  • Volunteer Administrative Work-

Help us do administrative work in the office. We can always use help with mailings, data entry, and other office tasks. For more information, contact Sarah Tellefson

  • Churches-

We believe that students must get plugged into a local Church so that they can experience the Body of Christ for a lifetime. We love to meet with churches and develop relationships with youth pastors and staff so that we can help kids find a church that fits their spiritual needs. If your church would like to learn more about Young Life and how we can work together to build the Kingdom, contact Scott Seynemeier
